Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi

The garbha-griha preserved within the complex is one of the most powerful darshan sites in Bharat. Devotees experience an unusual silence here — as if time itself bows before the place of His avatar.
Dwarkadhish Temple
Built in 1814, Dwarkadhish is the principal temple of the city and the spiritual centre of Mathura's daily life. The Holi, Janmashtami and Hindola utsav celebrations here are legendary, drawing lakhs of devotees in a sea of saffron and gulal.
Vishram Ghat & Yamuna Aarti
Vishram Ghat is the central ghat of Mathura where, according to tradition, Krishna rested after slaying Kansa. The evening Yamuna Aarti — with hundreds of diyas floating downstream — is one of the most moving spiritual experiences in all of Braj.

October to March offers the most comfortable weather. Janmashtami (Aug–Sep) is the most divine time — the entire complex glows with midnight abhishek and lakhs of devotees. Early morning (5–8 AM) has the shortest darshan queues.
How far is Mathura from Vrindavan, Gokul and Barsana?
Vrindavan is 14 km, Gokul is 15 km, Govardhan is 22 km, Mahavan is 17 km and Barsana is 50 km from Mathura. All can be covered comfortably in a 3–4 day Braj-yatra by taxi or Asthawaani guided bus.
